Singer, songwriter and actress Anna Davel shares her recipe for a biltong and goat milk cheese salad with us.
She seldom cooks, but loves olives, biltong, rocket, prawns and oysters, garlic, lemon and olive oil. “I love sushi, but haven’t been brave enough to try and make it. I also love Neapolitan gnocchi and freshly baked croissants and bread.”

Biltong and goat milk cheese salad
Serves 4
300 g (1 packet) wild rocket
4 gherkins (sweet and sour), diced
250 g (1 container) rosa tomatoes, halved
200 g wet beef biltong, sliced
100 g (1 roll) goat milk cheese (Geluksfontein)
16 calamata olives (Romesco)
DRESSING
60 ml (4 T) Sicilian salad dressing (Romesco)
- Arrange salad ingredients on serving plate.
- Serve dressing with salad.
