Here is the pattern for Moroccan crochet square #5

MOROCCAN SQUARE #5*

Colours used: Vinnis Colours Nikkim DK (50 g balls): Kingfisher, Navy, Peach, Baby Yellow and White.

Crochet hook: 3,25 mm

Abbreviations (American terminology) and stitch explanations:

beg = begin, ch = chain, cl = cluster, dc = double crochet, rep = repeat, rnd = round, sc = single crochet, ss = slip stitch, sp = space, st = stitch.

Puff stitch (4 dc-puff st)

Wrap the yarn over the hook.
Insert the hook in the stitch and draw a loop the length of a dc.
Wrap the yarn over the hook and draw a loop in the same stitch, three times.
Wrap the yarn over the hook and draw through all the loops.
Wrap the yarn over the hook and pull it through the loop on the hook to secure the puff stitch.

Cluster (2 dc-cl):

Wrap the yarn around the hook and insert the hook in the next stitch.
Do not complete the stitch. There are two loops on the hook.
Crochet the next stitch in the same way. There are three loops on the hook.
Wrap the yarn over the hook and pull it through the three loops on the hook.

Picot:

Crochet 3 ch, ss in the 1^st ch.

Pattern:

With Kingfisher, crochet 4 ch, join into ring with ss in 1^st ch.

1^st rnd: 1 ch, 8 sc in ring, ss in beg-sc.
