Here is the pattern for Moroccan crochet square #4

Colours used:

Vinnis Colours Nikkim DK (50 g balls): Kingfisher, Cloud Blue, Green Slate, Aubergine, Peach and White.

Crochet hook: 3,25 mm

 

Abbreviations (American Terminology) and stitch explanations:

beg = begin, ch = chain, cl = cluster, dc = double crochet, dtr = double treble crochet, hdc = half double crochet, rep = repeat, rnd = round, sc = single crochet, ss = slip stitch, sp = space, st = stitch, tog = together, tr = treble.

 

Popcorn stitch:

1. Crochet the amount of dc stitches in the same stitch.
2. Drop the loop from your hook.
3. Insert the hook from front to back under both two loops of the first double crochet stitch of the group.
4. Grab the dropped loop with your hook and pull it through the stitch.
5. Wrap the yarn around the hook and pull it through the loop to secure the popcorn.

 

Double treble crochet stitch:

1. Wrap the yarn 3 times around the hook.
2. Insert the hook in the next stitch.
3. Wrap the yarn over the hook and pull the it through leaving five loops on the hook.
4. (Wrap the yarn over the hook and draw it through 2 loops) 3 times.
5. Wrap the yarn around the hook and pull it through the last 2 loops on the hook.

 

Cluster (2 dc-cl):

1. Wrap the yarn around the hook and insert the hook in the next stitch.
2. Do not complete the stitch. There are two loops on the hook.
3. Crochet the next stitch in the same way. There are three loops on the hook.
4. Wrap the yarn over the hook and pull it through the three loops on the hook.

 

Pattern:

With Aubergine and 3,25 mm crochet hook, crochet 4 ch, join into ring with ss in 1^st ch.

1^st rnd: 4 ch, (1 dc, 1 ch) 7 times in ring, ss in 3^rd of beg-4 ch. Fasten off.

2^nd rnd: with Kingfisher; join yarn to 1 ch-sp, 1 ch, (1 sc, 1 dc, 2 ch, 1 dc, 1 sc) in every 1 ch-sp to end, ss in beg-sc. Fasten off.

3^rd rnd: with Green Slate; join yarn to any dc of rnd 1, 3 ch, 2 dc-cl in the same st, 2 ch, 1 sc in next 2 ch-sp of rnd 2, 2 ch, *3 dc-cl in next dc of rnd 1, 2 ch, 1 sc in next 2 ch-sp of rnd 2, 2 ch; rep from * to end, ss in top of beg-3 ch. Fasten off.
