METHOD
BACK
With 3.25 mm needles and A cast on 74(82; 86; 90; 98) sts.
1st row: *k2, p2, rep from * to last 2 sts, k2.
2nd row: p2, *k2, p2, rep from * to end. These 2 rows are now called 2×2 rib. Work 7 more rows in rib.
10th row: p and dec equally across row to 68(70; 76; 81; 85) sts. With 4 mm needles continue as follows:
1st row: k.
2nd row: p.
3rd row: k1(2; 5; 2; 4), *(k2tog) 2 times, y ft, (k1, y ft) 6(6; 6; 7; 7) times, (sl1, k1 , psso) 2 times, rep from * to last k1(2; 5; 2; 4) sts, k1(2; 5; 2; 4). (pattern from * to * = multiple of 11)
4th row: p.
5th row: as 3rd row.
6th row: p. From 1st to 6th row constitutes pat. Work in pat for 36(42; 54; 60; 60) rows.
Shape armhole Cast off 4(6; 6; 7; 8) sts at beg of foll 2 row. 64(63; 70; 74; 77) sts. Continue in pat till armhole is 13(14; 15; 16; 17) cm long, ending with WS row. Cast off and place markers both sides of middle 28(30; 33; 31; 31) sts.
LEFT FRONT
With 3.25 mm needles and A cast on 35(35; 39; 43; 47) sts.
1st row: *k2, p2, rep from * to last 3 sts, k2, p1.
2nd row: k1, p2, *k2, p2, rep from * to end. These 2 rows constitute rib. Work 7 more rows in rib.

SLEEVES (the same)
With 3.25 mm needles and A cast on 42(42; 46; 46; 50) sts. Work 9 rows in 2×2 rib.
10th row: p and dec 1(1; 0; 0; 0) sts equally over row. 41(41; 46; 46; 50) sts. With 4 mm needles continue as follows:
1st row: k4(4; 1; 1; 3), 1st row of pat from * to * to last 4(4; 1; 1; 3) sts, k4(4; 1; 1; 3).

NECKBAND
Close shoulder seams. With RS and 3.25 mm needles and A pick up and k 19(19; 23; 25; 25) sts equally across right side of neck, 30(30; 30; 30; 34) sts of 28(30; 33; 31; 31) sts at back of neck and 19(19; 23; 25; 25) sts equally along left side of neck. 68(68; 76; 80; 84) sts.
1st row: k1, *p2, k2, rep from * to last 3 sts, p2, k1.
2nd row: p1, k2, *p2, k2, rep from * to last st, p1. These 2 rows will now be referred to as rib. Work 5 more rows in rib. Cast off in rib.
RIGHT FRONT EDGE
With RS and 3.25 mm needles and A, pick up and k 7 sts equally along rib, 64(80; 84; 92; 96) sts equally along front edge and 7 sts equally along neckband. 78(94; 98; 106; 110) sts. Begin with 2nd row of 2×2 rib and work 2 rows.
Foll row: rib4(4; 3; 5; 4), cast off 1 st, rib 14[25; 15; 16; 17; 18], cast off 1 st) 4(5; 5; 5; 5) times, rib 4(3; 3; 4; 4).
Foll row: rib and cast on 1 st over buttonhole. Work 3 rows in rib. Cast off.
LEFT FRONT EDGE
With RS and 3.25 mm needles and A pick up and k 7 sts equally along neckband, 64(80; 84; 92; 96) sts equally along front edge and 7 sts equally along rib. Complete as for front edge but without buttonholes.
FINISHING OFF
Fold sleeves in half, place fold on shoulder seam and sew on. Close side and sleeves seams. Sew on buttons. Lay down flat, cover with damp cloth and leave to dry. See packing material for care instructions.
