Finishing off
Sew away all loose threads. Crochet all squares with A and double crochet stitches against each other according to the sequence A–F on the diagram. With right sides together sew the two panels together to the bottom of square 1. Turn inside out.
Cut the cotton material according to the crocheted bag’s shape, but leave an extra 1 cm for the seam around. Place the cotton panels with right sides together and sew according to the crocheted panels. Don’t turn inside out.
Place the cotton lining into the crocheted bag. Fold the unsewed cotton seams with an allowance of 1 cm against the crocheted panels and sew it onto the crocheted bag with small overhand stitches.
Place the handle in position and fold the outer crochet work over it and sew it to the inside with small stitches. Do the same with the other handle. (see photo)
